Comprehensive Pain Management:
Pain management is at the heart of palliative care, especially for terminally ill pets. Dr. Anita employs a range of advanced pain relief techniques to ensure that your pet experiences as little discomfort as possible. Your pet will be closely monitored throughout treatment, with doses adjusted as necessary to maintain optimal comfort.

Comfort and Dignity in Familiar Surroundings:
One of the key benefits of mobile veterinary care is the ability to provide treatment in the comfort of your home, where your pet feels safe and secure. Being surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and smells can greatly reduce the stress and anxiety often associated with illness and organ dysfunction. The nicest way for your pet to handle any disease process, is in an environment that they cherish and feel safe.

Tailored Care Plans & Continuity of Care:
Every pet’s journey is unique, and your pet will have an individualised care plan created. Plans can be altered and adjusted as the illness progresses.  Whether it’s adjusting feeding routines, providing specialised bedding for added comfort, or administering fluids to keep your pet hydrated, Dr. Anita tailors her care to ensure your pet’s final days are as comfortable, peaceful and pain-free as possible.

Holistic Approach to Care:
Palliative care goes beyond just managing physical symptoms. Emotional and psychological well-being of both your pet and family is also considered by Dr. Anita. She understands the profound bond between pets and their owners, and works to preserve that connection through the difficult time of terminal illness that is often associated with medication administration to your pet.

Emotional Support for Pet Owners:
Caring for a terminally ill pet can be emotionally overwhelming. Dr. Anita understands this and offers non-judgemental, compassionate support for  you and your family. She is there to answer your questions, discuss your concerns, and help you make informed decisions about your pet’s care.

End-of-Life Planning and Guidance:
It is never easy to decide when it is time to let your beloved go, but Dr. Anita's commitment to honesty will always prevail in these situations. Gentle guidance is necessary when it comes to making end-of-life decisions. Facing the prospect of humane euthanasia is an incredibly difficult choice, and one that can at times be unbearable to make. Dr. Anita will help you make an objective decision that keeps your pet's health and quality of life at the forefront. If euthanasia is the chosen path, Dr. Anita ensures it is carried out with the utmost respect and gentleness, in the comfort of your home, where your pet can pass peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
